Not that I fall under this category, just speaking in regards to an acquaintance.

If asian girls see you have a preference for them, they think youre a creep, but at the same time a person cant help what physical attributes they are attracted to.

No. As in getting to learn their culture, nothing to do specifically with gender roles.

This is something I ponder about as well, as I also have a preference for Asian women, but know how such things are perceived by them thanks to the creeps who full-on fetishize them.

The Asian fever phenomenon is widely caused by that relationship being advertised all the time. It's not like white dudes are just naturally attracted to Asian women and vice versa. It's that this relationship is a stereotypical "perfect" relationship that has been sold for a long time, and the target audience are consumers.

I didnt say he was only attracted to the americanised ones. I was referring to the cases where the woman isnt americanised. I personally would prefer a woman who grew up with a different cultural background, because its give you more to learn about each other.

Also I dont think yellow fever is as big a thing as people make it out to be. Id argue its usually the asian woman who have white fever since they see it as an increase in social status. White Guys are usually just opportunistic and use it to their advantage.

Fair enough. But some people have curious personalities and gravitate to people who have had different experiences throughout their life and this just part of that. I can see how that would be demeaning though.
