The first chapter is free and I'm wondering if it's really worth it. Interactive movies don't bother me if it has a cool story like Until Dawn
but idk about this game.

It's the only game that has truly shaken me. It's so fucked up what happens.

And I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but for a long time I was faking any kind of laughter because of how torn up I was.

It does. I benefit from being the type who can't stand leaving a story unfinished and let me tell you, this game is a tragedy. Episode three is a little lighter because of how episode two can end, but near the end of three and for the rest of the game, it gets fucked up.

Life is Strange is absolutely the best game in this genre of interactive narratives.

Just a heads up though that the first episode is rather "vanilla", so to speak. It's slow and really focuses on establishing the characters. As such it's a bit slower than the later episodes.

If you decide to stick with it, the story gets really deep and really dark, and the imagery becomes more surreal.

I can buy that that's what it was always going to be. Before Farewell came out, what I couldn't buy was her letting things be and not trying to save both. After Farewell, I don't buy for a second she'd ever consider sacrificing Chloe. It would tear her the fuck up for life, but considering how she left Chloe, what she said on the tape, and that she broke her promise, it's not a possibility. So yeah, all factors considered, it's not the best ending. Still powerful if you disregard Farewell.

I can purchase the additional chapters on sale for $1.24 each which brings the grand total to $4.96 cents. Each chapter is usually 5 bucks which would make this 20 usually.

Even if I end up hating it is less than 5 bucks. Imma pull the trigger.
