Well, yes, the khmer rouge would probably be a more 'dramatic' example of this in action. The point is that people rarely if ever use these as examples of the dangers of rabid nationalism in action but do frequently cite them as 'typical' outcomes of leftist philosophy.

To clarify, I am neither leftist or nationialist and am not trying to defend either.
