Too bad it just straight up doesnt have to connect to your TV if it doesnt feel like it. Literally the only console on the market with that issue.

Sounds like it's your TV or your particular Switch that is the problem, because mine works fine when transitioning from Handheld to TV or vice versa.

If it were a problem with the TV, my other consoles would have the same problem. They dont. The problem is the Switch is staying in handheld mode despite clearly being docked.

I turn the Switch on while docked. The tablet screen turns on instead of showing anything on the TV.

I've had similar problems with my switch and ps4 on occasion. It's because I use a shitty HDMI cable that was like 60 cents. I just unplug the cable and plug it back in and it's always fixed.
