it's on my want list. if i can get past the fact of the multiplayer requirement. could knock 1 point off the difficulty rating.
can't say much for dead rising 2. it's very complex.

So I've heard. No access to 3 even I wanted to. 4 looks neat, but not as good and very much not a Dead Rising game in some ways. I'll probably play 4 at some point, but I won't expect too much.

DR2 (regular) was my favourite, then the original, then the Frank version of 2. 3 was a lot better than people give it credit for. Then there's 4... To call it a turdmobile would be a compliment.

Oh I forgot, should I bother with Off the Record? I don't see much reason to get it, but if it's worth then I'll probably get it.

Off the Record is good simply for the fact Frank looks like Dan Aykroyd.

It's fun if you treat it like an expansion to 2, just a 2.5. if you like 2 and want more it's worth it.it semi regularly goes on sale for dirt cheap digitally so you could wait for that.

It's on sale right now for 7.99, I thought about it but then saw re4 on sale for the same price, so I went with re4.

The first 2 are the only ones worth it, you could just not get 2 and get otr.

i loved 4. until i looked and you can't grab **** off the shelf.

it's not going to prevent me from buying it though.
if it had some online requirements that be an issue.

I loved the first game... after starting and restarting it a dozen times and then finally just getting in to it.

I couldn't do the same with the second one and I wish I could.

2 was not a bad game at all. It was a lot like the first one.

3 and 4 I never played.

I remember the 1st one having the worst save system of all time.

The gameplay was really clunky and stuff breaks way too quickly but it had a lot of charm

It was surprisingly enjoyable for a game built around escort missions. I guess part of that was that you could fail the escorts and still keep going. I never played past the first game though

One of my favorite series, would be my favorite if Capcom didn't gave the franchise to shovelware directors. There hasn't been a series like it since.
