Oh another tip is to constantly have your digi farms set to develop new items, using the 1000g option. It has a slim chance of getting you exp boosting accessories. Just make sure to have at least one of your farm Digimon to have a builder personality so it goes faster. I believe you can buy an item that changes personality to builder from the shop in the first reception-y area of the online world.

Since you mentioned wanting to know about missables, there's this character that appears in every chapter (starting in 4/5) in a different spot that gives you an item for talking to him. Victory Uchida. If you don't talk to him before moving on to the next chapter, you miss his item. He also usually is in kinda out the way spots. It's mostly just medals and (non-exclusive) accessories. Hopefully you aren't past chapter 5 already. >_>

Yeah I'm pretty sure you have to have the PlatinumSukamons in your active party to get the exp boost from them. But if they have three exp boosting accessories equipped, it's a REALLY BIG exp boost.

You don't get the Steel Will until very late into the game, I made the same mistake of banking on getting it sooner rather than later in my playthrough.

The PlatSuka won't be super great in battle initially but it eventually learns a move called Character Reversal, which reverses the type of the Digimon affected with it. Viruses become weak to data and resistant for vaccine, for example.

It works on damn near everything in the game, even a lot of bosses, and their AI is not equipped to deal with it.

But really you want him (and later on probably 2 more) for the fairly massive exp buff considering how much grinding you'll have to do for ABI.

I always saved before Digivolving if I wasn't sure what I was gonna get. Sometimes I'd save and reload several times just to see every option and pick the one I liked best.

Tbh it's not really a super hard game. As long as you don't run from fights and can keep at least two of each of the three main types of Digimon (vaccine/virus/data) at decent levels, you won't really need to grind much, if at all. The massive exp boost from fully equipped PlatinumSukamons is mostly needed for trying to complete the Digidex in a reasonable time frame.

so me and Nokia phone went into the digital world and recovered Agumon and Gabumon. She now has her own crew!

Then me and that one guy went into the subway and found some sort of patch of the world that was both the real world and the digital world and we defeated one of those eater things

I had Renamon evolve into Blackgatomon and I raised another patamon and he turned into gatomon. I'm very clearly trying to build a harem here, err I mean a crew of foxy body guards

I managed to evolve Leomon into Grapleomon! but unfortunately he wouldn't have had enough ABI to evolve into Jojo Leo mon so I made him devolve into regular Leomon again

BUT

I have 88 defense and the requirement is 130

I'm not sure if he'll be reaching that by 55

is there anything I can do to raise stats?

Yeeeeah most Digimon can't actually make it to Mega on their own at the minimum level because of those stat requirements. You can train them in the digifarm to boost their stats. IIRC, the best way to boost the desired stat is to assign a leader whose personality corresponds with the stat you want to raise, and also change the personality of the Digimon you want to boost to that personality too. I think Durable is the personality for Defense. The items to change personality are at the shop in the welcome/reception area of Eden.

Also those Friendship items are super helpful too.

There are also consumable items that can boost stats too, but I don't think they become readily available until late game, and they're probably also really expensive.

Togemon became Lillymon but unfortunately she doesn't have enough ABI to eventually become Rosemon, so I had to change her back to Togemon

she'll have enough once she becomes Lillymon though

Oh sorry, I guess the other ones don't unlock until later. Shops update over time based on the chapter you're in. Also I was wrong on defense. It's Defender you want, not Durable. Durable is HP. Sorry again!

But as long as you have one Digimon with a Defender personality, you can still train defense by making them the leader. The stat boosts for the other Digimon on that farm would just be split between defense and whatever stat their current personality relates to. So like if your Leomon is Nimble, his training would end up being half in defense and half in speed.

And while there is a maximum amount you can raise stats by, there are items to lower stat boosts, so you can't permanently screw a Digimon up. The maximum goes up with your ABI.

The 17 is already part of the 120. It's not 120 + 17. They just show it in parenthesis so you know the total bonus stats its accumulated.

You'll have to either keep leveling or train it again.
