From the guide on GameFAQs: There are two types of DigiFarm cases that can be obtained from DigiFarm investigations: Property cases and "Search ... Hacker" cases. This list won't include Property cases since those are covered in detail here. Instead, this table will list all the "Search ... Hacker" cases you can obtain through investigations. You need to complete each set of "Search ... Hacker" cases before another set becomes available to you. For example, the "Search Wanted Hacker" set contains two cases, theu need to be cleared before you can get access to the "Search Kinda Bad Hacker" set of cases.

It says the target of that first one is someone named Jirou on Kowloon lvl 2. I think you're just supposed to find them and battle them? Did you walk around and talk to everyone there? I dunno if they'd have some kind of marker above them. Oh, did you actually accept the case from the bulletin board?

so not much to report because I've just been doing the searcher green cases

I think I'm caught up on the defeating hacker ones because I have 8 "property" ones

from what I understand they can repeat so I might have to get a list or something to keep track of what I've done

Some stuff.

Off the top of my head...

- Your entire Digimon field guide comes over, meaning you don't have to see anything you've already seen, but the Digimon themselves do not come over
- Your playtime (I had 100 hours in CS, started HM and my first save was like 100 hours 20 minutes)
- Medals collected
- Random freebie stuff for completing the first game

There may be more I'm not aware of. The playtime thing is weird because you're not the same character, you're a side character who vaguely observes the events of the first game and has his own side adventure.

Apparently in the Japanese release in NG+ you can actually bring over your Digimon from the first game, but that feature isn't available in the West for whatever reason.

and since you keep the medals, on your first visit to Nakano in Hacker's Memory you can talk with the medal collector and get all the items you got from him in your previous file again

I haven't looked at the trophies for the sequel, but I wonder if that makes getting the platinum much easier if you already got it in the first game.

Well either way I'm glad some of my hard work won't go to waste.

It stinks I won't have my mons with me but at least I won't have to retrain the ones I don't care about
