Most people you'll come across have absolutely no idea how to fight correctly, and a single errant punch is more than enough time to get behind them if you choose (wouldn't be the best idea tbh, but w/e)

Because it's hard to defend an attack from the back. Even in real combat, it's a position you try to get. Taking the back is an incredibly strong advantage in grappling. In boxing, you always want to take an angle on someone because it's harder for them to attack you and easier for you to attack.
