That... shouldn't be physically possible. A pound of fat is around 3500 calories. Even if you completely starve yourself, it should take a day to a day-and-a-half to lose a single pound in terms of energy consumption. There's no way to lose 10 pounds in 3 days if you're consuming almost 1000 calories daily.

Not all weight is fat. Some of it is water. Some of it is the food in your stomach. Some of it is the shit in your intestines.

Grats on losing the weight. I will say Im a bit concerned about the amount of calories youre eating. But malnutrition is better than obesity if I cant talk you out of it.

I recommend intermittent fasting. I do One Meal a day and that meal is usually about 1,500 calories. Ive lost 42.2lbs so far. I eat whatever I want. Last night I ate deep fried chicken nuggets and mozzarella sticks.

At your weight you can probably eat a lot more than that and still lose weight. Google BMR calculator and find out what your basic metabolic rate is. Your BMR is how many calories you burn in a day doing literally nothing at all. Then just eat 500 less than that.

You should also be intermittent fasting to promote weight loss. You will only lose weight when your insulin is low. Every time you eat you will spike your insulin. And your body will gradually come back down from that spike before it will tap into your fat reserves.

Your body will make most of the nutrients that you need. You will need salt and water though. Eating such a low amount of calories will put you in malnutritional levels. Your body will desperately hold on to fat and burn muscle instead. Its why Ethiopians bodies are incredibly slim, but they still have a pot belly. Their nutrition is inadequate because they eat so few calories in a day. Youre actually better off not eating at all than eating a low amount of calories.

Im still pretty fat, but Ive lost 42.2lbs since October 16 doing intermittent fasting.

This is also a good idea, but Ive done both.

Mixing low calorie intake and then intermittent fasting the next day will keep your metabolism from plateauing. One day a week I also go over my calorie limit to stop the plateauing.

That's 90% water weight. The same thing happens to me in the first few days of cutting/bulking. It used to scare me to suddenly gain/lose 8-11 pounds in a few days, but now I know it's not muscle or fat, it's just water.

You are quite obese, so at first you should be okay losing weight more quickly than most, but not 900 calories a day. 2 pounds a week should work at first, but 900 calories a day is still too little IMO.

It reminds me of my dumbass brother who fattened up to 200 pounds last year and then ate 500 calories a day in January-february to lose 40 pounds really quickly. He got a bad skin rash and it affected his mood. Good thing I don't live with him any more

You have made substantial progress. That being said, dont you worry about not adequately meeting your nutritional needs? At a certain point, you will need to stop doing this.

Im no worried at all. My body produces pretty much all the nutrients I need. I have a ton of fat which burns clean. I wouldnt eat anything if it werent for the other side effects of long term fasting. The most annoying of which is gradually re-introducing food after a long fast. You cant just gobble down a steak after not eating for 7 days. Your intestines have gone into hibernation mode and a shock like that is going to send you to the ER. You have to gradually reintroduce solid food, starting off with bone broth and watermelon.

I dont want to get to that point, so I eat one meal a day mainly to keep my gears rolling. Ill do a 48 hour fast once a week and break it with a jalapeo chicken and cheese quesadilla and wash it down with a beer. Im still perfectly fine and still losing fat.

I got pictures posted a few posts up. Youll notice not only did I lose fat, but my skin has improved and I even look younger.

Fasting promotes autophagy which cleans out the toxins and dead cells in your body. I havent been sick at all since Ive been fasting. No cold, flu, stuffy nose...nothing. I used to get sick like once a month.

I have more energy. I feel a lot better.
