Just got brought up in conversation, whether we should consider moving to Cupertino. Schools are ultra competitive, but the schools are some of the best in the state.

I dunno if I'd wanna put my kid through that, but they'd get into great colleges.

The downside would be having to live in a normal to small sized house. As opposed to living somewhere else with less competitive and lower quality schools where I could live in a much larger house and lot, basically a dream house type of thing.

Take the small house for now. The kids don't clean shit anyway. Let them get smart and a huge paying job. Move in with them and shit your pants all day living in their big house. Also drink alllll their booze.

Thats another thing, I could live in a cheap area, huge dream house, and send my kids to private school. But private school is kinda lame, I feel like. At least in public school theres usually somewhat of a mix of socioeconomic classes and personalities. I feel like private school would be in worse in that regard of competitiveness.

Thats what my parents did exactly. I grew up in cupertino, but its ridiculously expensive. Like the cheapest 3 bed 2 bath small houses small lots will be about 2 million.
