it was pretty fucking garbage, not surprised they canned it even though it ended on a cliffhanger

it had balls though to pull the whole gay "nice guy" actually is just being ostracized because he's a psycho fuckboy and not because he's gay thing though, I wouldn't expect a show to try to pull that these days

Was it anything like the (pretty good IMO) movie?

I made it halfway through the first episode and saw the shit on the wall, it would not be worth finishing. You must have been pretty bored to watch the whole thing.

Not really, and they were taking the fog theme in weird directions IIRC, but IMO it wasn't as bad as TC is making it out to be. It was something to watch inbetween your preferred show binges.

not at all, I liked the movie too but this was shit, too much personal drama despite few of the characters being particularly likable, not enough horror, it tries to do the whole "show how society degrades in crisis" thing like the movie but it felt much more hamhanded and fake

there are three groups it follows, one holed up in a police station, one in a church, and one in a mall, the police station group quickly bails and hops from place to place because they have no supplies there and one of the cops wants to find his wife and daughter he knows were in the mall as the mist blew in, pretty much the only similarities are army caused it and some soldiers hang themselves in the mall because they realize they're fucked and a religious maniac who builds a cult though they tackle it differently

also instead of insect monsters the mist is like Silent Hill where things personalized to you come out to kill you except at the very end where in a fit of rage after seeing everyone in the mall heartlessly push his family into the mist to die the hero cop backs his car through the doors of the mall to expose everyone within to the mist and for some reason some people just start dying on their own when exposed even though some characters were in the mist for an extended period just fine and they were acting like there was some special reason for that but no

Wtf. The crazy monsters were the best part about it and instead they choose to do some psychic projection bullshit. Fuck that

I almost started watching it when it first aired, but I'm glad I avoided it.

there're a few insect monsters, but they're far rarer than the projection shit, and besides one they don't show you probably because they didn't have the CG budget they're all tiny larva things that just crawl inside you and then do things
