One of the stores I account for recently got a letter from the bank stating that their deposit they dropped off is $240 less than what they stated
I asked the store manager what happened to the $240 and they said they have no clue; that the $240 was dropped off to the bank. I contacted the Regional VP and told them the story; they said it could be a miscount from the bank and to contact the bank. I emailed the letter from the bank to both the Regional VP and director of cash management The director of cash management asked me to find out what happened to the $240 ._. --- ... When I worked at radio shack, If a bank drop was off, or missing, it was an automatic dismissal of the manager for that store. Yea ABP usually blames the cashier if a deposit is short, not the manager so that's kind of funny In my example it is now a game of he says/she says and being the middleman just feels dumb. If the bank miscounted, you face palm. If someone at the store actually took the money you shake your head Just feels disappointing when you're in the back office looking at this stuff either way :( Didn't know Radio Shack was so stringent on cash policy though, sometimes banks do fuck up (which drives me insane because you'd expect them to figure out the mistake first) and you can't really blame company staff --- ...
