My best friend didn't grow up all that wealthy, so it's only now in her mid-twenties that she's been able to get the braces that she had needed. It's a bit of a rough time for her, but it's been over a year now and she's looking better.

So anyway, of course, she's got the rubber bands stretched across teeth holding her jaw closed at rest.

She's typically pretty good about her rubber bands except around me.

Because I make her laugh. :)

So it always makes a bit prideful when I can make her laugh to the point that her jaw opens wide enough to snap one of her rubber bands, even if it means she'll have to replace it.
