well it turns out I was just kicked and not banned since when I tried rejoining the server it worked

but then I fucked up immediately upon rejoining (suggested an idea re: channel permissions to help curb my bad behavior and pretty much got told "we aren't doing shit on your behalf, you just have to magically never have a bad mental health day ever again") so now I'm afraid I'm just gonna get kicked again because of that

is there anyone here who's familiar with dealing with the main channel crowd and can give me some help re: how to proceed? I feel like I'm stepping into a minefield tbh

Stay in vgmusic and don't talk to them? Like, I literally never interact with any of those other people.

yeah, my current plan is having all the non-vgm channels muted. last night I was worried that not talking to them *at all* would get me in trouble with them somehow, but I guess if they haven't kicked me out again yet this might still work out?

I feel like on some level this is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Like if you assume someone dislikes you but then interact with them anyways (which I don't think you actually have to do in this case!), it's probably going to make you act in an antagonistic manner which is going to lead to them actually disliking you, regardless of whether or not they did initially.

Etrian Oddyssey IV stuff

- FOEs can attack outside of dungeons
- travel via hot air balloon
- you can be attacked while in the air
- Swordman class has attacks like Link Flame (adds fire attribute), Double Strike (two attacks in a row), and Vanguard (defense down/attack up for a number of turns)
- Medics can restore HP with skills like Healing and After Battle Treatment, which automatically restores HP after a battle ends
- Fortress is a defense job equipped with Provoke (draw enemies), Line Divide (protect a row), and Revenge Smite (damage boost for a number of turns)
- features large dungeons which lords send you to explore

Was worried it might be a little too mobile. The idea is that it locks into place/on track for sections and then jumps to the next when you get to it.

I switched up to a slightly different method with camera triggers in later levels(past the Sketch planet) so it might get a bit more to your taste, but going to look into adding some customization options.

You should at least try for Lulu's a couple times. Look up the right spot to do it on YouTube and then it's just a matter of staying in the rhythm.

Also Tidus' is the worst. Fuck chocobo racing.

I think Kimarhi's got easier with the switch to HD. I remember as a teenager playing it on a crappy TV and having trouble even telling the blue and red butterflies apart. The hitboxes are still annoying, though, so there will be some trial and error.

Well, "running" is a strong term. I'll be more... containing it. Rwlh floated the idea (as a joke, but you know me) to have the winner of the previous song choose the next one. I'll get DMed songs and I'll put them in the queue, only adding my own for the first and after a song nobody gets enough points for. Duplicates may or may not be allowed we'll see.

It people would prefer a normal game I can do that too.
