Any idea how to cook it? I'm kinda curious what it tastes like and I was thinking of putting it in a linguine and marinara sauce.

Anyone ever tried a meat substitute that wasn't awful?

There are many meat substitutes that are great. Obviously they arent the real thing but people hate on it just for memes. Morning star products are pretty good. I actually prefer some of their veggie burgers over the typical beef patties.

Just fry it up in some oil and toss it in the pasta/marinara.

Hope it's Field Roast. Nothing beats Field Roast.

That's what it is. Unlike some of the other flavours it actually looked somewhat real and good.

Use it like you would use italian sausage

the nice thing is you never need to cook it long, just get it brown a bit

That seems fairly easy then. Yeah not like I need to worry about meat contamination.

I've been trying to expand my vegetarian meals beyond chickpea bases (chickpea korma and spaghetti with chickpeas). I usually only do one or two meals a week but if I find some good stuff I wouldnt mind trying to cut my meat intake.

Has anyone tried making black bean burger patties? Or chickpea based burgers? I saw some little round ball things made of chickpea and looked breaded or fried and they looked amazing.
