I've never played a VR game before, so I was just curious. How do I even get VR on my PC?

Skyrim VR was just released on PC a few days ago, you can purchase it via Steam. You do need a compatible VR headset set up though, so you need an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive (or Vive Pro if you have the cash).

it has no mods so trash

wut

you can totally add mods to skyrim VR, some of them just need updates to be compatible

Anyway OP, from skimming posts on r/oculus and r/vive, it seems to be a pretty awesome and new way to experience the game. Controls are a bit clunky but the immersion factor is amazing, apparently. I haven't played myself yet but plan to...

skyrim VR cant run any mods requiring SKSE and can only run SSE mods, not oldrim mods

its mod support is practically non existent with both of those limitations

Erm. mod support with limitations != practically non-existent ...

The link I posted has a list of like 20+ mods that work with Skyrim VR, and the PC version of the game has only been out for a few days, so mod makers probably haven't had time or reason to update it (yet)

It supports Windows Mixed Reality too. You can get a cheap Dell or Acer headset for like 200 bucks on Amazon. Might be worth considering since it's a lot cheaper and it's easier to set-up.

I haven't got a PC headset myself but WMR seems to be under most people's radar.
