Indie gaming is too concerned with rushing shitty games out or doing minimal effort meme games for "streamer reactions." Where are the fun games? Zombies Ate My Neighbours, Wild 9, The Warriors, etc. The games that were made because of the fun factor they provided, the real games. --- As a Level 37 Sage, I expect to be treated with proper respect and acknowledged for my dedication to the GameFAQs Message Board Community as a whole. Romulox28 04/05/18 1:40:36 PM #25:	agreed 100%, TC. the vast majority of games feel like they're made in a boardroom rather than by passionate devs. it's the same bunch of game mechanics over and over again, which makes every game feel kind of bland and same-y. this extends to the story aspects of games, as well. games are now over-engineered so they're never difficult, there's nonstop stimulation, the player never has to figure anything out, etc. The end result is that the majority of big games feel more like Disney World rides, where you "complete" them rather than "beat" them. it's sad. i can count the number of fresh and exciting games i've played this gen on one hand, and honestly i probably wouldnt even use all 5 fingers. i still play video games because it's my preferred low-effort time waster and because i've always played video games, but honestly after this gen i dont even know if i will continue to buy systems and continue playing. --- http://i.imgur.com/LhwwG.gif <cite>Romulox28 posted [p:899106580] in Gaming has...
