The problem with DSP and other "lets players" is that they don't really offer anything besides just watching someone play games and maybe occasionally cracking a joke once in awhile.

I understand why people enjoy Game Grumps because they have conversations and are actually funny. Not to mention they are talented in other things like music and animation.

I'm not in a situation where I can afford to donate to people who play video games on Twitch or YouTube, but I can at least understand why some people might. I've watched some that put a lot of effort into making what they do an entertaining experience. They interact with those who support them, they clearly enjoy what they do, and they create something that could be seen as worth contributing to.

DSP, on the other hand, does this to pay the bills. He has admitted that he doesn't like the games he plays most (PUBG and whatever variant of Street Fighter he's currently playing) and only plays them because they allow him to interact more with his fans--meaning: he gets more tips and cheers. He shits all over whatever game he's playing and seems to just dislike video games in general at this point in his life. And every stream on Twitch begins with an hour plus long pre-stream in which he blatantly begs for money to pay his taxes. How anyone can support this man is beyond me.
