NOTE that GameFAQs' built-in image embedding for some reason automatically changes a URL in the second format to the first one, so it won't load either way. If you have GameFAQs' image embedding on, temporarily turn it off to see what I mean with the URL. At the time, GameFAQs only allowed images to be linked to, so the only way we could post images was by linking to them. Imgur, the most popular image hosting server, had stopped allowing images to be directly linked to; meaning, users couldn't directly link to images on GameFAQs using Imgur. ImgTC was supposed to be an alternative to Imgur on GameFAQs. That said, there's absolutely no point in using ImgTC when you're on sites that don't restrict images to links. And even though I've restricted images to links on my user settings here, I don't use ImgTC that often. The resolution of my images often gets worse when I upload them to ImgTC, and the images often stop loading up at all. Directly linking to images is something I don't care that much about doing anymore; the main reason I liked directly linking to images was because I liked posting reaction images, and I felt other users would find my reaction images funnier if they were directly linked to them. But I don't really care if users find my posts funny anymore. Honestly, I'm just gonna stick to Imgur entirely from now on. --- Greatest debater on GameFAQs.
