My current apartment complex wants $1308/month for a 13 month lease on a 1 bedroom apartment. I currently pay $1228, which is already pretty high. There are a couple apartment complexes I'm looking at that are even closer to my job and both have Google Fiber available.

One of them is right around the corner, and the other one is about a 4 minute drive away. I currently live about 15 minutes away from work.

That is not too bad. A month to month lease on my apartment that is like 500sqft is $1838/mo.

Yeah, they sent me documentation on different lease options... A 2 month renewal or month-to-month is $1737.00/month.

Wait, where do you live again? Why is your apartment higher than lots of places in NYC?

You could just come live down in Buda

:)

Then I'd have to deal with I35 every day, lol. Trying to avoid that.

Nah, I'm sticking around where I'm at. I interviewed for another position that I wasn't even sure I wanted, and they decided to go with someone else.

Sigh...

Administration fee...
Application fee...

Rent is gonna be about $130/month cheaper for a bigger space, though, so it'll balance out over the next 14 months in my favor.
