WWE was willing to push some random jobber out of nowhere (so there's hope for any member of the roster to get somewhere) 2. That entrance 3. The Singh Brothers are so awesome 4. When Jinder wasn't doing the anti-American schtick, his promos were not terrible. Just not exciting. 5. He has size, presence, and a definitive heel fighting style (we can actually hate him, instead of ironically cheer) 6. He had to do on-the-job training for main eventing out of nowhere. Who else had to do that so quickly? Cons 1. The India experiment fell on its face 2. 10-15 better WWE Championship wrestlers ready made to be pushed over him 3. The length of the reign (The shock wore off after a month) 4. All his matches end the same way 5. 75% of the time, his voice cracks during promos, or his promos just suck (The Nakamura thing...Christ) 6. Despite developing as a wrestler, his in-ring style is...um...decent at best? Maybe? I think it's a net positive, if only for giving a chance to a guy who was never offered said opportunity. SD got a top heel that everyone can hate for many different reasons (which is very hard in this smarky environment), and I think Jinder isn't so bad that US title picture/upper midcarder isn't a good fit. They took the worst possible route to get there, but he's better off than jobbing. I will give WWE some credit. They didn't throw Jinder back under the bus after the WWE title push failed. I don't know if they should have used such an "average" wrestler and substandard heel persona, mask it with an above average entrance and entourage to do it, but whatever.
