But even if you are using a HW, MEW being compromised means you could accidentally send crypto to the wrong address.

Which is why you should always confirm the address displayed on the HW

When the hack is resolved download MEW from the Github and use the offline version.

Seems to be fine so far, Bittrex seems reliable. I prefer to keep it on there because trading is much easier. I got tired of all the fees, even moving things to a wallet and back costs fees, it's ridiculous. Granted I haven't done any trading in months, but eh.

Basically miners were mostly just dumping asap when mined. They figured node holders were more valuable and invested in the coin so for that reason and others they changed the reward distribution to 65/30/5% node/mine/dev.

There was also a bunch of miners that formed the blockchain so hopefully you are aware of that and updated to the latest wallet and got onto the correct chain.

They are now also considering moving into PoS phase sooner than planned. Will go to a governance vote if seriously considered.

Tbh, I agree with that decision. Miners are important yeah, but a good chunk of them are just dumping the coins in the market anyways. I would have probably did 60/35/5, but eh Im not complaining. Itll probably give the coin some scarcity and raise up the price. Seems like that hiccup last week didnt slow things down neither.

Wish I had my miner because Id mine XLQ too.

That is why I browse /biz/. People there talk about crypto like it really is, and fully acknowledge that most coins are scams (as opposed to the brainwashed shilling that permeates Reddit).

The only ones I've got any purchase in are Etherium and BAT. Beyond that, there are so many choices I don't know what I ought to buy in on.
