Lol seriously. I dont want to believe most of these posts are even serious. Its not hard to believe a 14-year-old got a little lost. Some people dont have a good sense of direction or special skills.

If you paid any sort of attention in this topic you would know that the kid was more than an hour walk from school. Its not just surrounding streets

Yeah, I think too many people these days (especially Gen Z) rely heavily on GPS for directions which can be a disadvantage to them.

You're stating all this in hindsight. With that said here's the map for context:


As you can see, he clearly was on the right way to school (which probably meant he at least had the sense of right direction), but probably just go lost and that's when he probably went to the strangers house and try to ask for directions.

The fact that the real issue is whether or not the way the people reacted was racially motivated or not, but you're going out of your way making a big deal whether or not the kid knew his way to school or not which should be irrelevant contrary to evidence provided.

The lengths people will go to frame the kid as some kind of bad guy or a liar who absolutely -must- have known his way is really weird

Kid was trying to get to school and didn't go home and try to print out a map because he was probably thinking "oh shit i missed the bus i better hurry or i'm going to get in trouble," stopped by a house on the way after getting lost in an area he probably doesn't normally walk around in, and knocked on a door to ask for directions never thinking it would result in a crazy person taking shots at him with a gun

According to this from the local news coverage, the kid was indeed heading in the correct general direction of his school. He probably just turned down a street, felt like he wasn't heading exactly in the right direction any more, and decided to ask some people for help. If he walked relatively straight from where he missed the bus in this photo, he would have been cutting through some woods.

Not hard to see how he thought he was lost.

Somehow, if the kid had a gun that would have solved everything.

Right now that man is being held at the Oakland County Jail.
