"I got to the house, and I knocked on the lady's door. Then she started yelling at me and she was like, 'Why are you trying to break into my house?' I was trying to explain to her that I was trying to get directions to Rochester High. And she kept yelling at me. Then the guy came downstairs, and he grabbed the gun, I saw it and started to run. And that's when I heard the gunshot," he says.

The woman thought this kid was trying to rob her. Not an excuse to start shooting at people, and her husband deserves to be charged.

Unless he just started going to that school and taking that bus there's no reason he shouldn't have memorized it by now, even if you aren't actively paying attention, go down a route enough times and you'll know where you're going.

I remember taking a bus to my old middle school everyday at 14. If for some reason I was forced to walk I'd never be able to find the place either. I remember some friends of mine telling me that they were forced to walk to their middle school after missing the bus. After making the attempt for quite some time they just turned around and went home.
