So I recently picked up Super Daryl Deluxe on a whim, turns out the game was FAR better then I expected.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/361230/Super_Daryl_Deluxe/

Combat: SotN style, but your combat is based on the 4 different abilities (+ a dash ability) you equip (8 later on). Each ability has a very small cooldown and the idea is that you string your 4 different abilities together to form your own combo style. As you rank up your abilities the art of said abilities changes making them look more dangerous and cooler.

Loot: All enemies appear to be able to drop loot, and loot is unique to each enemy. There are unique "set items" as well that can be earned through various challenges and side quests. Certain loot has passive effects ranging from % increase stat bonuses, to life steal, to item find, etc... There is even basic crafting once you run into the blacksmith.

Sidequests: FULL of side-quests, there are TONS in this game. Roughly 60% of the sidequests are fetch quests, but the vast majority of them are right next to the location where you can acquire the items.

Art: The art is goofy, the main character reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite in both looks and how he acts throughout the story.

Storyline: Storyline is interesting, but very tongue in cheek. Don't expect an epic storyline, but don't expect it to suck either. I'm 20 hours in and still interested. BTW important "cutscenes" are voice acted which is cool.

RPG Elements: You have a quest level and an exp level. The quest level unlocks various passive perks as you level that up. The EXP level directly effects your statistics which include defense, hp, & strength, gear is level locked. You also can purchase new abilities and upgrade them anywhere from 5-7 ranks.

Completion Time:
15-20 hours if you rush main story only.
25-35 hours for a completionist.

+You get a form of fast travel eventually
+the map is easy to understand

Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this game, strongly suggest picking it up if your like Castlevania style rpgs (SotN)

I tend to tag you in interesting games i find, because I noticed our taste in rpg type games more often then not align. Same for Lanhikari to a slightly lesser extent.

You had me sold at Symphony of the Night style.

"SotN style" is the point where I went 'sold!' too, haha.
