on cable and network channels.

Like, it's one of the risks and drawbacks you take when you decide to go the cable cutter route. Live with that choice, or find a way around it.
Either way, complaining about it in the comments section of Facebook pages and PR statements is dopey AF.

I though cutting cable meant being fine with getting stuff slightly later than TV

I never see people complain about this. THere's enough shit on Netflix for me to catch up on that there's no reason for me to pay multiple services. Cable is a waste nowadays.

Yeah thats what i figured as well, but its only a matter of time before cable companies cave in and start their own streaming service. Thats why streaming sites have their own original series on there. Its gonna be an over saturation of streaming services where people dont want to pay $10's for each of them.

Like I said I see it in Facebook comment sections all the time when shows post about premieres.

If you're gonna complain, then pay for cable. Better Call Saul is one of my favorite shows currently running. Netflix will get the newest season quite literally a year after it airs. I ain't waiting that long for it. Until streaming gets every show premiering on the service at the actual premier time, streaming won't be at it's best

Alternately, if people that are cable cutters want to see premieres when they happen, there's tons of live TV apps out there for cheap they can get. Sling is like $20 a month.

Until someone eventually comes up with this new and futuristic idea like combining all the streaming services into one bill and it goes straight to your tv.

Hey, as long as it's no more than $50-$60 per month, I'm happy.

For TV shows, who needs cable when you can just "illegal activities" it shortly after it airs.

News/weather/etc? Can easily get all that on your phone and from numerous sources online.

I haven't completely eliminated mine yet since I still use it for sporting events (NHL playoffs on right now as an example). Never found a good, reliable free streaming site for most games and watching a recording after the fact always seemed pointless to me because you probably already know the outcome and it's a forgone conclusion. Nothing exciting about that.
