most expansion teams suck for a couple of years, but the player pool from which to draw from isnt usually great either

Some of the teams were absolutely moronic in who they left exposed. Special mention goes to the Panthers, though, who traded the Knights their sixth-leading scorer so that the Knights would agree to take... their third leading scorer.

But honestly? The draft wasn't set-up to stack them and it's honestly amazing that they're as good as they are.

Thats the thing, the knights took the underrated players from each franchise, now those boys have something to prove. At the same time i bet they didnt think they would make it this far so they are having fun while doing it

People projected them to be the worst team in the league before the start of the season, and are now whining because the expansion draft was too generous for them.

I think that fans of other teams have a misplaced sense of frustration with their own franchise's lack of management skills. I'm a Pens fan, so I'm personally just thrilled for the Flower. Watching him be so sad to leave last summer was heartbreaking, especially considering what a great guy he is, so seeing him be even more successful and appreciated in his new city makes me really happy. If the Pens don't threepeat, watching Fleury win the Conn Smythe and cementing his status as a hall of fame goaltender would make me just as happy. Nobody in hockey deserves it more

Grew up in Vegas and have always hated hockey but god damn am I rooting for them. If they win the cup Im going to Vegas and doing a bunch of blow in their honor

Not gonna lie, it's been kind of annoying seeing everything they do this season with the "Knights make history!" tag thrown on it. Yes, they're a very good team but anyone who has spent any time following hockey this season and isn't a fan of them is totally over it already lol.
