Y'all probably don't know him, but he hosted a very popular British show named Supermarket Sweep.

I find it really annoying because people ppst shit on social media, like:

"Omg, RIP, I used to love Supermarket Sweep."

I hate to think that I might suddenly die and people will say "Ohhh no, I used to love drinking in the bar that guy I worked at."

Seems more like they're just sharing an appreciation for how they knew of that person and what they did, maybe noting the impact it had on their lives. Not everyone gets a chance to be best friends with everyone else, let alone celebrities.

Think about how few people even so much as got to shake Leonard Nimoy's hand, thousands maybe? Compared to how many people know Spock, likely billions.

Supermarket Sweep is an American television game show. The format combined an ordinary team-based quiz show with the novel concept of a live, timed race through a supermarket. In the timed race, cameras followed the teams with shopping carts through a large vacated supermarket with several aisles; the value of items thrown into the cart determined the winning team. The original show was broadcast on ABC from December 20, 1965 to July 14, 1967.
