She's an assistant manager for a high end retail store. They're getting rid of the ASM position, company wide
She'll still be a supervisor, but demoted to part time, loses her benefits, etc. However, they offered her a store manager position at the busiest store in the country. Offering over double her current salary, 30k to 75k. Full time with benefits obviously, time and a half on sundays. Cost of living is astronomically high there. One of the highest in the country. I don't want to leave my friends and family. Just bought a house last year. /blogfaqs --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Just find it weird that they are promoting someone to the head position of their biggest store who has never done that job. Granted AGM's and GM's do a lot of the same shit. I guess. I mean right now it feels like she's constantly picking up the slack of her current store manager. Their district manager just really likes my gf. They're offering her $2500 to move and everything.
We've been together for 4 years, have 5 pets together, so this is a pretty big decision. I don't want her to feel like she's missing out on a huge opportunity, or that I'm holding her back. I just can't move. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
