Do time buttom presses with your pokeballs?
Even though its proven to do nothing, i still do it. Hitting both a and right at the same time as ball hits the pokemon. I also keep holding a and pressing left and right as the ball shakes. Do the same thing in Chrono Trigger for crits even though it does nothing also. Think i got this mentality from Super Mario RPG as timed pressed attacks do do something --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I learned that trick back in the day, to hold b the second it leaves. Just like how I would always hit L1 when attacking in ff games, swear it worked bro!

I still sometimes do that (either B or B+Up) or I rapidly tap A. There were so many variations on that rumor.

I thought pressing buttons does affect the catch rate but not in a way that improves your chances (like it makes the number regenerate or something). You have just as much luck simply throwing the thing.
