Turns out Josh is alive and no one else has died yet besides Jessica in the beginning so it's been pretty uneventful. I must be getting lucky. Now I'm at the part where Chris is going to go rescue Josh, who is tied up in the barn. I'll probably get Chris eaten by one of those monsters. We'll see next time I play.

Does anybody else ever come across forum posts from only like 2014, and even when the vaguest political allusions are made, it feels palpably different? Maybe that's just confirmation bias on my part, knowing it was a more innocent time, but everyone seems much more relaxed, right and left. Now everyone is just miserable. This is what I really hate about the alt-right. They may be horrible and racist, but I'm not sure they're horrible and racist in service of anything tangibly useful to them. It's purely spite-based politics, but not just against marginalized groups, but against anyone and everyone they can drag down to their level of misery. And they pretend to enjoy what they've created, but it's obvious that they're still extremely sad and miserable people.

You ain't wrong about that compadre. That's the shitty culture war that the Republicans have been winning. Neither side is gonna get me my job back, but at least the Republicans will make me feel good about how much I hate brown people!

I agree. Coors is a gorgeous park. It's that damn air that gives it a reputation!

Twitter and Facebook have definitely made it a lot worse. Everything that used to just be part of niche web communities has gone mainstream, including bad things. I remember for the first few years I came here the concepts of trolls and memes were interesting to me because I'd never hear anybody IRL talk about those, I thought it was just for super-nerds who go to 4chan and gaming forums

Coors is the best ballpark I've ever been to

Mine is Safeco until further notice

1. AT&T
2. Little League baseball fields down the street
3. Oakland Coliseum

Just to be clear, that was because it's the only one I've been to. Though I don't think I've ever heard anyone say Coors isn't a good park

The idea of touring all the stadiums in a sport is neat, but I think it's less cool nowadays when teams seem to get new stadiums more often. I'd probably do it anyway if I had the money and time

Bud Norris is having a really good year. The Cardinals finally got one of those random guys to be a good closer.

I had to double-check that you didn't make a mistake there. That Bud Norris? I had no idea he was still in the league. I don't think I heard anything about him since the year he got traded. Also his Wikipedia page is great:

I remember five or so years ago when he was a serviceable pitcher on my fantasy leagues. I didn't know he was still pitching, let alone had the stuff to be a closer.

He's always playing somewhere. Last year though was the first time when he was basically a full time reliever and he had an alright year out of the pen but now looks unhittable. We'll see how long it lasts
