My current apartment has a washer/dryer included. My new apartment doesn't.

I think I'll go with one of those washer/dryer combo appliances. That'll save me a lot of time just having to put clothes in once.

Yeah, the apartment has the connections. The appliance(s) just needs to be hooked up to those connections.

Yeah, I'm gonna go to Sears. I think they'll have some sort of service like that.

i've never heard of a washer/dryer combo before. consider that the machines will be right next to each other and all you gotta do is move the clothes like 2 feet. having two separate machines will allow you to do two loads at once, if that matters.

when i bought my current set ~10 years ago i bought the cheapest thing Lowe's had (Roper) and they still work just fine. kinda waiting on them to die so i can upgrade.

i recommend a top loading washer because i've heard many horror stories about front-loading ones leaking

many of the features on high end machines are unnecessary and more points of failures. things like touch screen controls, or WiFi connectivity with an app, may seem nice but they add a lot to the price are most likely the thing to break (and aren't cheap to repair). get a good quality machine but be weary about too many bells/whistles.

Eh, I kinda dislike having to move clothes from the washer to the dryer either way. I'd rather just set it and forget it.
