I have been playing these since the fucking first one and this one is really good yet people bitch? People complain Its not like the old Zelda games but the same fucks bitch the series needs to change up the formula. Whatever I guess

The only problems I really have with the game are the story and the fact that there's just not really a good reason to play it a second time or continue playing once you've beaten every shrine. The best parts about the game are exploring new areas, seeing things for the first time, solving riddles, figuring out neat little physics tricks, and so on. I haven't picked up the game again since I got the armor for beating all the shrines.

That said, people who say its not "Zelda" enough are a bunch of hacks. Its very Zelda, straight up red tunic in the volcano, bombs & bows, Swords & toys, puzzles & goblins, dragons & princesses...

A lot of the backlash is from Nintendo haters who haven't played the game or people who think "I expected the most perfect game of all time after the reviews!" as well.

I think 3D styled Zelda is pretty meh in general outside the first two installments but Breath of the Wild is a total snooze. 2D Zelda save Z2 which is hands down the worst Zelda game are the far superior Zelda experiences.

I could not get into botw at all. I put in like 10 hours (although a lot was fucking around & exploring) and I just have no motivation to continue playing

The game is all about discovery but you eventually discover that all that's out there are shrines and korok seeds. The story is nonexistent and the 2nd half of the final boss sucks. Instead of going out with a bang, the game just fizzles out. You can just stand there and Beast Ganon doesn't even attack you. Compared to the endings of OoT, MM, and especially WW, it was weak.

The game has the same problem of quantity over quality that Mario Odyssey has. Instead of 120 shrines, they should have maybe 60 shrines, and 6 optional dungeons that have like the content of 10 shrines mashed together.

I really disliked how the shrines all looked and sounded the same on the inside and outside. If they just had like 4 alternating themes for the shrines instead of 1, it would've gone a long way to decrease the monotony. Was it really necessary for all the shrines and stables to look exactly the same on the outside?

Variety is necessary! Speaking on variety, they needed more enemies! All you see throughout Hyrule are Bokoblins and Moblins and Lizalfos! Guardians were new and exciting and Lionels were awesome, but where are the Darknuts or Leevers or Tektites or Gohmas or Gibdos or Iron Knuckles or Skulltulas or Like-Likes? This is the one game where Like-Likes eating your shields wouldn't be so terrible!

I get why they did the story the way they did but it was weak. It basically had no villain. Ganon wasn't a villain, he was just the monster that you fight at the end. He had no dialogue or personality or anything. Remember how cool he was in Wind Waker? This game needed a Zant or a Ghirahim or a Vaati. There should've been a 7th Champion who betrays the others and joins the Yiga Clan or something. Cliche? Maybe. But anything would've been better than the nothing that we got.

I'm sorry for typing all this, I'm stuck in class and very bored.
