Trying to play Halo: Online, but Im getting about a third of a second of a delay when using my tv as a monitor. The TV is in game mode, and Im a little stumped on what to do to lower the delay at this point. Ive tried changing around some settings on the TV, and also lowering in game settings (didnt think it would help, but I was desperate so I tried everything I could think of).

Anyone know why?

Not surprising, TVs are not good monitors.

How are you connecting to it? Which type of output to which type of input?

Just using a regular HDMI cord.

I should also mention that when using my PS4 on the tv everything works just fine. Only when using my PC am I experiencing any input lag.

Well a PS4 is designed to connect to a TV. PCs aren't.

There probably isn't much you can do. Make sure you don't have some weird refresh rate, try both 30 and 60 Hz.

Oh, and if you're on a different HDMI input than your PS4, you have to turn on game mode, turn off motion interpolation, etc. Those settings are for each input.

this simply isn't true. all modern TVs are designed with at least one and most of the time multiple ports that can connect to a PC.

That had nothing to do with my statement.

Game consoles are designed to connect to TVs with as minimal latency as possible. TVs offering a PC port doesn't mean that PCs are designed to connect to TVs in the same manner. Input lag doesn't matter if you're just showing a slideshow.
