I don't get Stormy Daniels's lawyer's strategy (apparently to litigate this matter in the court of public opinion), but then, maybe they care a lot more about winning in the court of public opinion than in a court of law.

I wouldn't underestimate Trump's ability to deal with legal matters. The man has been a party to 3600 lawsuits in his life. That is quite possibly more lawsuits than the average lawyer handles in his whole career. He has a lot of experience in getting away with things and shifting blame onto others.

1.) I thought Cohen only handled a very very tiny part of Trumps legal issues?

3.) I dont think your monthly retainer being used as repayment for a large personal expense the lawyer used on your behalf makes any sense. It would basically mean he waived making any money from his retainer until the $130K was repaid, right?

Nobody really cares if he had an affair with a porn star. His ardent supporters will actually cheer it. Most people knew from the start it likely happened. That was really no reason to lie about a consensual affair on Stormy's part. Plus, I mean... Billionaire plus porn star doesn't seem like the biggest stretch.

People are just trying to tie it somehow to impeachment, which seems like people jumping the gun and trying to pick out key words and stuff.

If there was impropriety legally in a criminal setting, it should be easily found out. You already from the start knew where to look.

We will see what comes of it.

As a lot of things lately, I think it is just democrats jumping the gun by a million miles in their efforts to try and undermine Republicans.

I'll believe being criminally found guilty of something, impeachment, blue wave, and so on democratic narratives when I see them becoming an actual possibility. There hasn't even been charges anywhere criminally against Trump to this point. That said, if his investigation wraps up in June as he hopes, maybe that will change. We shall see.
