This basically.

Yes, machines can be flawed. Let's not pretend people aren't flawed too.

Fuck self driving cars.

Unless it's something temporary like Tesla's auto pilot, that shit sucks.

EXACTLY. This is why I'd rather be the one in control here.

Absolutely. I can't wait until driverless cars are the default. Human error is the cause of most accidents and I don't enjoy the act of driving.

Human error could be cut down significantly if people didn't need to text and drive or be on their phones.

Been driving since 07 now, and I'm telling you, every single time I see something odd, sure enough it's a person with a phone.

Not yet, but eventually yes.

I wouldn't trust a self-driving car on the kinds of roads I commute to work daily. Ain't exactly uniform highways down in the scottish borders.

So car accidents only really started happening about 11 years ago? Gonna have to stop drunk drivers and people driving after working 12+ hour days while you're stopping people from using phones.

Been driving since 07 now, and I'm telling you, every single time I see something odd, sure enough it's a person with a phone.

Your anecdotal experience is definitely the same as millions of accidents over decades.

People suck at driving.
