Imagine if the story here is that Nakamura has AJ so on edge trying to prevent the low blow that he tricks him into something else and wins the belt that way. I'd like to see a long play like that.

You should book for WWE. (Not being sarcastic, I love this idea, it makes Nak look like a killer, and it doesn't hurt AJ cause it's a no DQ match, so of course he's watching out for low blows. Human nature.

I was thinking they might have Nakamura wear a cup in anticipation of AJ getting pissed and trying to nutshot him, but that would make AJ look really stupid if he also wasn't wearing a cup.

Part of me thinks it'd be funny if they did it like an episode of Grounded for Life where these guys were boxing and just kept dickpunching each other the whole match, but that doesn't really fit in a "dream match"

Chinsuke is maybe my favourite parody act in wrestling right now.

They have managed to get more mileage out of it than most of the other DDT parody guys.

XFL pitching a team in Orlando even though American Alliance league already has a team here for next season with a head coach in place

Local media are discussing why XFL would do this as we can't support 2 minor league teams. Can't help but feel the answer is because Vince is a very bitter and vindictive man who wpuld deliberately put another team here to undermine the alliance league team even if it's not in his own best interests

Loving the Dunne/Strong war. Their match on this past NXT was a near classic but with the rest of the Era sniffing around at ringside like a couple of Wolves on the hunt, there was only one logical ending. Nice to know this will burn on.

Just a few more hours until Okada vs Tanahashi

I really really love the build to this match as its just so different than the usual fare. For years and years the story was about Okada surpassing Tanahashi. Now, in their first match in over 2 years since he finally accomplished that, hes pissed that he even has to have this match. Hes (rightfully) complaining that Tanahashi really did nothing to deserve it; that hes just getting it because of the gimmick of this being the match where Okada can potentially break Tanahashis title defense record.

For his part, Tanahashi has something to prove to himself. Hes talked about feeling as though the next generation has passed him by, but denying that feeling. This is the test to prove he is still worthy of being a pillar of New Japan

The warm up tags on the Road To shows have been revolving around a disinterested Okada going through the motions against what he feels is an inadequate opponent. A lot of the times he has even dominated Tanahashi, clearly being one step ahead. In the most recent warmups, however, something happened.

On Friday, they were squaring off as usual, and the match spilled to the floor, and Tanahashi hit a Sling Blade on the mats. For the entire rest of the match, Okada laid there stunned. Not selling. Stunned. Tana and KUSHIDA easily finished off Ospreay to win the match, with Okada still on the ground.

In the backstage interview, he said I felt that. None of his other offense has had any impact, but I felt that. Tanahashi actually pulling off an impactful move that Okada didnt expect or counter triggered something in him. It took him back to that place where, for 4 years, he struggled to surpass Tanahashi but kept getting beaten back.

And now, after hes proven so much and made such history, that old bastard is trying to deny him, again.

So on Sundays warm up tag, he snapped. He brawled emotionally with Tanahashi. He is now prepared to destroy, with prejudice, any last doubt about his historical superiority to his forerunner.

I think thats a really neat story.

People are going to look back in 15, 20 years and realize that the Okada/Tanahashi saga is legitimately one of the best long-term stories ever in wrestling. We're lucky to be able to appreciate it while it's happening.

Good to see some excitement for this match.

Crowd won't be the best and Tanahashi is diminished, but these two are magic together.

I guess Omega is next man up for Dominion if Okada retains?

Still, this is one of, if not the best title reign I've followed from start to whatever the end point will be.
