Gameking has beaten DOOM.

Doom was fantastic. The firefights were exhilarating, and while I relied on the rocket launcher a lot, all of the guns were fun to play with. I will certainly be revisiting this game. Never played a Doom game before, but now I really want to go back to the beginning.

darkx has beaten New Super Mario Bros.

The last 5 levels or so were much more difficult to me than most Mario platformers. I probably used up close to 40 lives there. And then the final boss was astoundingly easy and unless I missed some special ending, there was no "RAWR GUESS WHAT I'M ALIVE AND YOU HAVE TO BEAT ME SIX MORE TIMES!" like there usually is.

Well, the game "does" have a quest system now. One long questline to get Mew (as close to a true ending as the game has right now, though would be quite difficult for a new account to complete this in a month, especially free)... and a shorter "research breakthrough" thing after doing quests for 7 days (days need not be concurrent), which rewards you with the ability to catch one of the 1st gen legendary birds.

I'd suggest the latter as the thing if this is chosen.

I have been severely neglecting DOOM. I'm on the second mission, and both of my deaths have been the result of these environmental objects on like a conveyor belt. The game doesn't even give me a checkpoint after clearing out that room of demons.

I also am having trouble getting the chainsaw to work. They tell me to use the square button (I'm playing on PS4), but nothing is happening despite doing it where a demon is inches in front of me and full fuel.

I'm having fun regardless, but I'm really hoping that I will get the hang of some aspects of the game.

Oof, I just saw that there's a Mega Man X Collection coming out for PC/XB1/PS4/Switch and in July, so this won one month too soon.

Oh, so I thought that I had to press revenge square button to use the chainsaw, but I need to press square then weapon fire.

I'm on the third mission now, but I cleared two areas of demons, died, and apparently did not meet a checkpoint during that time. I have a feeling that the lack of checkpoints will result in at least 20 more groans upon respawning.

Partway through the Argent Tower mission. The game has really started to blossom since the beginning of the previous mission. It might be a tight fit to wrap this up before the end of the month, but I am determined to see this through.

I have Day of the Tentacle on Steam I think so if it's not long I'll run through it. Unfortunately I don't think I have a way to play MMX at the moment

Just began the 7th or 8th mission in Doom. I died so many times in what I assume is the first of several missions in hell. I don't think that I have used the pistol since the second level, and I am no fan of the Gauss Cannon.

I'm on Titan's Realm now. I completed all of the rune trials and upgraded all but one of them. I have a lot of progress to go in the other areas, but I know that is something to do much later in the future.
