KCF has beaten DOOM

The first three DOOMs are among my favorite pre-2000 FPSs. When DOOM 3 came along, it was the most I had ever spent on a video game (like $60 for the awesome steelbook). To say I was disappointed was an understatement. With all the turnover and turmoil over at Id since this game was under development, I was wary how this would turn out, even with the great reception. After a "slow" start, I began to see why it was lauded as one of 2016's finest, and it might be my favorite game in the series. I intend to return to it in the future to finish up secrets/upgrades/challenges.

Surprisingly, I only died once on the final level. I idiotically used the Berserker powerup in the second "arena" area too soon and stubbornly stayed on one side. I felt like I was about to die many times during the final boss, but luckily they gave you health and ammo from time-to-time. I was also surprised that this only had one phase when the previous boss fights had two a piece.

Gameking has beaten No More Heroes.

Decided to go ahead and replay this. I didn't remember much of it other than good boss battles and disliking everything else. I had a lot more fun with it this go around than when it came out. Exploring the world is a lot more interesting when looking for the Lovikov Balls even if it is still lifeless.

Overall, it's a flawed game, but an enjoyable one. Kind of want to try out the sequel now.
