Puppies, kittens, babies, etc. are cute. "Cute" has an absence of sex appeal, as it should. An attractive adult will have sex appeal and therefore will not be 'cute.'

Being called cute implies they have a very youthful appearance and a very innocent exterior, though whether they're innocent or not is anyone's guess. I also disagree with your last statement. Not all attractive adults ooze sex appeal, and those that don't usually don't flaunt their assets.

And for the record, a girl can be both cute and sexy. To me, a short girl with a pretty face modeling a two-piece swimsuit would be considered just that.

An adult doesn't have to 'ooze' sex appeal to be attractive. That isn't what I wrote. I wrote that an attractive adult will have sex appeal.

I wouldn't put newborns in the same realm as a young human being. The reason newborns are cute is because of their small size, and innocent and admirable nature, whereas a young person is cute because of their physical appearance, approachable nature, and nonthreatening demeanor. Compare to a more mature-looking woman who's main asset is her body and beauty.

When an adult tries to go for that "cutesy" look and demeanor, it's (personally) repulsive to me.

If you're referencing to grown women putting their hair in braided pigtails, you know, purposely making themselves look cute, and then proceed to prance around like a schoolgirl, that's different than a girl who naturally looks cute.

A girl who looks naturally cute will usually be short in stature, her face more rounder. Maisie Williams is a great example of this.

Cuteness can refer to mannerisms as well as physical appearance. It's like when girls call a guy "cute". It means they're a pretty boy, not necessarily oozing with much masculinity. I'm dealing strictly with physical appearance here.

Take this gif for example.


Some might find what she's doing "cute", but for me, it does absolutely nothing. She's too tall, too masculine looking, and I just find her dancing to be awkward and cringey.

2. Maisie's a great example of someone shunned for her youthful, as well as unique appearance. Personally, I find her gorgeous to a high degree despite criticism. I'd much rather her than some generic sex symbol everyone fawns over.
