Ten years ago today the MCU was born, as Iron Man was released May 2, 2008. The juggernaut of a franchise that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now officially a decade old and it's not slowing down any soon.

I rewatched Iron Man today on its tenth birthday and man does it hold up. Definitely one of the best MCU films, and it's the one that started it all. Highly recommend a rewatch of it if you can, today of all days.

This is my personal favorite scene from the movie, it's a very "MCU moment" and is just very charming and puts a smile on my face, as well as giving me goosebumps (especially the end part where he survives just in time and his subsequent cheer). Just a very feel good moment and one of the best scenes of the entire MCU, especially with the fantastic score playing during this scene, one of my favorite tracks of the MCU as well:

Kind of amazing how a character can go from "Is this movie about that Black Sabbath song" to the new Mickey Mouse in such a short amount of time.

Ill admit that I originally thought Iron Man had little chance holding down a movie on his own. Boy was I wrong.

I was quite happy when i found out about an iron man movie coming out, since im a war machine fan because i always found him as such a badass character with his shoulder cannon.

Boy, this movie made me like iron man. Scratch that, this movie made me wish i am Tony Stark.

interesting. I bet Dr. Strange was still doing his residency when Tony Stark became revealed he was Iron Man.

Scarlett Witch was just a teenager.

Hawkeye's kids probably weren't born yet! They seemed pretty young.

While entertaining, it's just too bad all 3 Iron Man movie villains are so forgettable.

"Average Joe" is a trolling term since it's completely an opinion. "Overachieving" is also an opinion. - SBAllen (Hellhole: 52458377)

Marvel has alot to to be thankful for the director of iron man is the person who really set the foundation for all of marvel movies after that point.

It's sad he didn't get recognition for that.
