I know, but to be fair, I rarely take any days off; only for my birthday (or the weekday closest to it) and days where I'm too sick to go (which also don't happen that often).

I want to watch it live so that I can avoid spoilers, but I can't really do it here on our network because they're watching our bandwidth (we all got reprimanded once for using too much bandwidth; we were at the top of the list of the entire organization, apparently). And I get a bad signal on my phone where our office is located, so watching stuff like that is cumbersome.

If you can afford the time off, and you're that excited about it, have at it.

Maybe. I think it's like an hour? This year's will probably be crazy though, because I believe they're going to reveal the Smash game they teased.

I guess the day off is also worth it, if you want to watch the Treehouse stuff.

Maybe a bad choice of words, but the surprise would be ruined once everyone starts talking about what they showed.

I've been doing it for the past few years, but for all of E3. Well I actually take two weeks off, because the weather is also at its best around here at that time, so it works as part of a nice break from work.

It's up to you. I like money rather than watching E3 stuff. I usually just look up a roundup at the end and I get excited if I see something I didn't expect.

I only take the day off for console release dates, I've done it 2 times for games as for videos, E3, events, tournaments of games, lol no don't really see the point considering that it is E3 and they mostly show the floor and not that much footage you're better off waiting for a YouTube compilation of all the footage put together then trying to see every stream live at once...plus after the event is over people upload all there videos.

Eh, the excruciatingly slow drip of Nintendo game news isn't exactly something worth taking a day off for, but if you have the time available you shouldn't need an excuse to use it.

It's not weird. It's really irresponsible lol. You could literally watch it after work and avoid spoilers if you stay off your phone that day at work!

Also you don't need to explain how rarely you take off work when those days you do take off are the same reason other people would

I've done that in the past a couple times. I'm considering doing it again this year too.

I say go for it, TC. There's no shame in taking time off from work just for a personal day.
