When does the protectiveness wear off?

I have a sister that's 11 who walks to and from Elementary and the school is literally a block away but I get so anxious and scared that someone's gonna abduct her or some shit. She only started walking by herself since 4th Grade and she's 6th Grade now and it still messes with me.

Our dad is nonexistent so I've been pretty much the dad figure.

I regret watching all these unsolved crimes/crime videos.

You could give her an emergency whistle. Or whatever they are called. At the very least, she could use that when in trouble, if ever.

I just tell her to move fast and don't hesitate when you feel something off. And to not be afraid of kicking.

Yeah people looking to abduct would rather not put up a fight and deal with all that hassle. Theyre going to go for something light and try to make as little of a scene as possible.
