I went to the American Writers Museum - it's small - earlier this year. That's Downtown Chicago.

Sears Tower (spelled phonetically) if you're not afraid of heights and want to see the city.

I live in Chicago.

Go to the Signature Lounge at the Hancock. It is free, above the observation deck and you can get drinks.

Go north to North Ave beach and Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park is infinitely better than the tourist trap that is Millenium Park. And the Lincoln Park Zoo and conservatory is free.

Diversey Driving Range is awesome if you want to play minigolf or hit golf balls along the lake with a view of downtown.

Go to Kingston Mines in Lincoln Park if you want to experience blues. It's open until 4am with music every night. Up the street from there on Sheridan is Replay which is a cool barcade. If you want Jazz instead go to Green Mill Lounge in Uptown. It's where Al Capone used to hang out.

Also if you are into climbing go to First Ascent Block 37. It's a climbing gym right across Chicago Theater with great views.

Oh and the 151 bus is pretty much a sightseeing bus. It goes through the loop, past the bean and millenium park, up Michigan Ave across the river, through the Magnificent Mile, past the Hancock, along the lake, through Lincoln Park, then through Lakeview and a couple other neighborhoods.

It's fine. Kind of bland. Lincoln Park has like trees and multiple lakes with boardwalks and stuff. Feels more like 'nature'. Plus there is a killer view.

I like millenium park. For someone who lives in chicago its kinda just that cringy place girls go to take bean selfies but as a visitor it's really kind of a fun place to take a walk. I saw She and Him there back when I was a lad.

Yeah that's true. It is pretty neat and they do have great concerts at the park that are free. Pretty much same thing with Navy Pier. It's a tourist attraction for a reason- it's sweet with great views.

Last time I was in Chicago and tried to go to Au Cheval, they looked dead serious when they said it was a six-hour wait... at 6 pm. It was... strange for them to act like we were going to do that. No way is any food worth starving yourself that long for.

So we went to the Haymarket brewery, which turns out had the same beef as Au Cheval.

The Bean at Millennium Park is p. cool.

Damn, wish I saw this topic. I was also in Chicago and we had an extra ticket for a three hour booze cruise on the lake which we didn't end up using.

I had giordano's, was awesome. Also a shot of Malrt. Quite an experience.
