I generally don't talk to people at all in public. Why would I approach some random female expecting a reward for validating her appearance? Shit makes zero sense.

Looking back, the part where it says "She was taught this since she was a little girl" is just one huge assumption, and kind of awkward. Why not just "since she was a girl"?

My impression of that guy's opinion is it's the kind of maybe good-natured/well-intentioned advice that backfires, because this idiot doesn't really know what he's talking about. Yes, harassing women is wrong, but not every interaction between one person or another who may be minding their own business is sexually aggressive gesture. He's assuming so much intent and knowledge of each side of any generic, banal situation between men and women in public that there's no way he can comprehensively do so which is why I think he resorts to simplistically vilifying one side. If a man has a clumsy social interaction with a female it doesn't mean he's going to follow her home, or stalk her in a park while masturbating behind a tree.

These two reasons are plain WRONG.

The actual reasons are as follows:

1. She's reading a book.
2. She's wearing headphones.

Those are two CLEAR indicators that A PERSON doesn't want to be BOTHERED.

I was once napping on a plane when the guy next to me literally woke me up so he can start chatting me up. Some guys just dont care or have zero social awareness.

Thirsty clowns shrieking "white knighting!!" and "he's saying we shouldn't talk to women ever!!" over a post stating the obvious fact that someone with headphones on and reading a book on public transit generally doesn't want to be bothered.
