I'm done. I've been in school for years upon years, but this is the last degree I'm going to chase, and I'm done. I turned in my last writing assignment, and unless something very strange happens then I've passed my final class. I fly out to Minnesota tomorrow with my parents in tow, and on Saturday I walk the stage for commencement for my master's degree.
No, it's not an exciting degree (health information management), but it pertains to the work I do now and has already gotten some attention at work, where HR is keeping me apprised of potential offerings that would both pay more (I need to pay my student loans) and use the skills I've worked so hard to acquire. I just finished up my first year of college myself! I'm expected to get out a semester early for my Bachelor's, and I think we'll determine if it's worth it to go for something else after I finish this degree.
