The first time I watched it was several years ago and I called it overrated. I thought it was a good show but didn't see what the big deal was at the time.

With the SG0 anime out I thought I should try watching it again so I can actually fully enjoy SG0. And damn, it really is as good as people say. So many great character moments, a lot of legitimately sad moments like where Feyris has to give up her father and Ruka has to become a guy again all to save Mayuri. And it does time travel in a way that makes sense as long as you're paying attention (or at least enough sense to where your head shouldn't totally explode, once you realize there aren't multiple timelines, just one single timeline that keeps getting rewritten by Okabe).

Overall, I take back everything I thought about this series originally, it really is super good. There are only a couple things I still don't fully understand. Anyways, if you haven't seen this show already, you owe it to yourself to even if you're not an anime fan.

the anime is okay, the games on the pther hand are fucking 100/10, but I can understand how such an overload of information cannot possibly be translated into a 20 minute cartoon.

the game has a bunch of scenes where diatribe gives way to a lot of real deep meaningful conversations with substance that the anime has to really skim over most of the time.

Revealing Suzuha's dad was one such scenes were the game got me really teary but in the show it's only pretty good, not amazing.
