My son is almost 3 years old and I have yet to whoop him, I have popped him on the hand several times though. His mother does not agree with the soft hands and she has whooped him, not around me tho. We got into a bad argument after he had a cut on his arm from where her nails scratched him, so she cut that shit out. I was whooped hard growing up and can't imagine how my mom's was able to do it with a straight face. She's always at home though so she usually handles the time outs and shit.

My mom. I never got the belt like my little brother or big sister but that's because I'm more reserved then those two.

Both my parents equally laid into me when I would fuck up. My dad did beat me with a big ass paddle sometimes but all it did was make me shut them out.

With my two kids neither of us spank and they're well behaved. Always following through with threats of time out or taking shit away, then talking through why they're being punished works just fine. We also instill manners and all that. It's not hard to raise well behaved kids without beating them, just don't be lazy parents.

My dad did most of the spanking for me and my brothers. Mom wasnt opposed to it and did it occasionally but it was mostly dad.
We usually got it bare ass and, especially as we got older, I guess they felt it was more appropriate for dad to do it. Plus my mom is really small so I guess it wasnt as effective. I dunno.
