I have this account that I only use for My Hero Academia and recently Megalo Box

I don't watch much modern anime, I don't wanna get into something really long like One Piece

I immensely enjoy Yu Yu Hakusho. I'm open to pretty much anything tho.

I did not enjoy Sword Art Online or Attack on Titan

if you like YYH, the obvious choice is HxH 2011, but that's over 100 eps, might be too long.

Maybe you can try other WSJ series like Haikyuu or Jojo?

Might be too long for you (148 episodes), but Hunter X Hunter is by the same author as Yu Yu Hakusho, and is pretty fantastic.

Also, yeah, watch Parasyte.

I have watched Jojo seasons 3 and 4, can't believe I forgot that one. They're pretty great.

Haikyuu - great volleyball anime with nice visuals and good characters

Kurokos Basketball - awesome basketball anime with a unique main character compared to other series

Hunter x Hunter 2011 - a little on the long side, but its by the same creator as Yu Yu Hakusho and is also very good

Kill La Kill - a pretty popular recent series that is rather well liked. Its crazy, has great music and lots of over the top action and stuff.

Parasyte - will be recommended a lot because its pretty damn good. Got a nice blend of like body horror, suspense and action

What other stuff have you seen? I dont know everything Crunchy has off the top of my head, but Cowboy Bebop is usually universally recommended as far as anime go

I have seen Kill La Kill and liked it, I also watched TTGL. Most of Trigger's stuff is good.

Also seen FMA:B and I liked it a lot

I like anime but I don't watch enough of it. I randomly watched Gate when it premiered and I liked it at first but in retrospect it was pretty trash. Neat premise that was poorly executed.

HxH is great too

For genre staples theres FMA Brotherhood, Steins;Gate, the Fullmetal Panics, Fate/Zero, Mushishi, And Cowboy Bebop

Or I guess you can just rewatch Yu Yu Hakusho

a long time ago KamikazePotato had me play Fate/Stay Night and even though I thought it was pretty good I ended up not following the series. F/SN must have left an impression on me tho cuz I still think about it from time to time. Where do you start if you wanna get back in?

The way I ended up doing Fate was Fate/Zero, the original Stay Night and then Unlimted Blade Works. The original Stay Night is not great but I don't think it's on crunchyroll anyway so that's fine.

So Zero -> Unlimited Blade Works

Being based off of a VN it does have some slower stuff up front. Far more than pays off, though. Also if you're looking it up on Crunchy Steins;Gate Zero is very much the sequel and not a prequel, regardless of what the name inplies.

I would not gloss over that Re:Zero rec either! Though I would put S;G above it

well if you played all of F/SN then Unlimited Blade Works is just the second route animated with very very high production value. Fate/Zero is the prequel

Psycho Pass, Black Lagoon, and From the New World are all pretty good and seem like things you might like.

They aren't particularly like any shows you've said you've seen, but if you're in the mood for more drama-oriented series, there is either Spice and Wolf or Welcome to the NHK.

Also this one's a very artsy/weird show, but I think The Tatami Galaxy is pretty great. Obviously though don't watch it if that doesn't sound like your thing.

This is an unfair characterization of both Hachiman and Smartmuffin. Exactly one of them is psychologically interesting when they self sabotage.

(Also I love all the small observations about status in oregairu and think it's great)

It's actually a very common practice. Even for the manga, a subset of people have said to start at part 3 for years.

Those people are WRONG, but it happens a lot.

I never made a judgment about people who like fast food, or part 3. I'm just saying that's what it is. If you like the shit then fine.

The point is if all you've watched is part 3, then you definitely need to watch parts 1 and 2.

I generally use FF7 as the comparison point. Mediocre franchise entry that got very popular for obvious reasons.

Part 4 could've been the end all but they made alot of bad choices

They concentrated on the wrong characters for too long and then would forget plot elements and characters right after they're introduced , as well as a bunch of other things

it should've been the adventures of Big Bros Josuke and Okuyasu

everyone else should've accompanied THOSE two
