I emailed him for an update on the project. And he said he stopped talking to me because I didn't add anything besides it was ok for him to be a leader in our first interaction.

Was that really my fault. He sent an email to the group asking if it was ok for him to be the group leader. Group leader's responsibility is to be a point of contact between the group and our professor. I said sure you can be that. He then never spoke to me again because I didn't add anything else in that interaction. I was waiting for him to lead since he wanted to be the leader.

Well I did contact him several times but he never responded. The class is 300 students so I didn't know what he looked like to confront him about it.

Sounds like you don't have to do anything thus easy grade. You have it documented he cut you out if you somehow get a bad grade.

I did professor said to work it out with the leader and group members. I tried emailing other group members they haven't responded either.

But tc said the leader stopped talking because he didnt add anything, implying they had dialog at one point that the leader cut off because nothing was added...whatever that means.

I'm guessing the guy's beef is that I didn't start any conversation with him so he just cut me off. I just feel he should have said something to me before coming to that conclusion.
